HISTORY OF CRAIGIE GIE LEA
Craigie Lea Estate is situated in the famous Dimbula valley Ceylon. Craigie Lea Estate located near famous Devon falls. Managing by Kotagala Plantations PLC. Craigie Lea Estate known as "Thangappu Thottam" in Tamil is located in the Dimbula Sub District of the Nuwara Eliya Region.
Before the nationalization of estates Criagie Lea was managed by Messers Anglo Ceylon Ltd and taken over by JEDB in 1972. in 1992 the property taken over by George Steauarts Management Service Pvt Ltd. In 1996 Mr.Iyadurai Naganathan was taken over the estate and Messers Lankem Tea & Rubber Plantations Ltd taken over the estate in 1997.
The Factory was constructed in 1937 and produce Rotorvane black tea. The Factory is 1206 meters AMSL. Our Factory certified for under mentioned certificates.

This Estate consist of three divisions namely Craigie, Forest Creek and Faithlie with total Hectare of 361.50 and revenue hectare of 230.00.
